We enter into into dark realms with Mahler's "Funeral March" before we look forward to the rediscovery of Sperger's 2nd Double Bass Concerto, which we owe to a real Görlitzer, Klaus Trumpf! Mozart's famous grand symphony in G minor, K. 550, which ends on the program, creates a melancholic and dramatic soundscape with a fiery finale.
