As a prelude, "News of the day": Paul Hindemith's lively overture with echoes of Berlin cabaret satire of the Golden 20s. Beethoven's Triple Concerto will be played by three very young soloists: the winners of the Young Ludwig Music Competition. Brahms' monumental 4th Symphony speaks equally to heart and mind, hence the nickname "Fire and Crystal".
