Open weaving workshop in the Großschönau weaving school

On Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. the Großschönau weaving school opens the doors of its workshop. On these days, those who are interested have the opportunity to watch the work on the loom and to try it out for themselves.

The manager of the Großschönau weaving school project, Steffi Friebolin - herself a trained weaver - demonstrates weaving on various weaving machines and shares her knowledge of this versatile craft. Visitors can try their hand at one of the fourteen different types of looms and develop a feeling for the activity.

After consultation, you can also produce your own textile product. Whether a towel, a blanket, a scarf or just a key ring - there are no limits to your imagination.
