The enthralling exhibition BIG BEAD is being opened at the Gallery for Modern Art Nisa Factory.
At the birthplace of the new Gallery Nisa Factory, over the period of more than a year, paintings, sculptures, installations and objects have come into existence which deal with the topics of contradictions, balance, migration and the lightness of ice cream.
The initial idea stemmed from Zuzana Slámová, owner of a successful glass bead manufacturer in Jablonec nad Nisou, of combining a seemingly independent glass production with modern art. Thus the Nisa Factory Gallery has just been opened.
"The central subject of the exhibition are beads and glass as the primary raw material, combined with other materials in a seemingly incongruous connection," says Zuzana Slámová, owner and art patroness of the gallery.
The BIG-BEAD exhibition in the Nisa Factory is therefore also opening a new gallery for modern art, the largest in northern Bohemia. The grand opening of the gallery and opening of the exhibition is on 18 March 2022 at 6 p.m.
